So, now I’m back home again from 6 days in Seville, Spain. Not having access to the internet is a good, and a bad thing. This time I guess it was more of a good thing.
Linda and I lived in the centre of Seville, close to a bus stop for the bus to SICAB. I had it all planned out, and everything worked out perfectly.
I have met many interesting people this year; I guess it helps when you can speak a bit Spanish. I met breeders, riders, and other interesting people, and we were at an important stud farm and made an interesting visit. Guess I should have brought my business card, ooops..
The best part, as a breeder, must be the fact that the Spanish Champion Stallion, Sevillano XLI; is a full brother to the father of my foal, Preciosa JS. I will put some pics and info about that on the web later on.
We have spent every day, but Saturday, at SICAB. Wednesday and Thursday afternoon we attended courses held by ANCCE. It was very interesting and I wish more breeders would have attended. As an animal scientist all these things are not new to me, but I am truly happy that ANCCE have taken these important steps forward. In other kind of animal breeding genetics is so much easier and the progress much easier to measure. In horse breeding is so much about taste and what appeals to each and every breeder.
Well, I strongly believe that the breeding of PRE-horses has developed a lot lately, and with BLUP and breeding programmes the Spanish horse will have even greater success in the future.
I will write more about our trip at Saturday when I get the photos I took with Linda´s camera. It was great being outside SICAB for a day!
Well, here are a few pics from our days at SICAB.
 Shopping!!
Jacobino III, a 2-year old colt, 5t in his class. Huge gorgeous colt wth great movement. I wonde what he would lool like in 2 years?

Carriage driving was also one of the disciplins one cold see.
This year special guest wa Argentina, and therefore you could find Criollo-horses every where.
And in the middle of all this, there was an american reining rider with his quarter horse. Both of them were very friendly and nice.
